FRANKLIN, TN October 31, 2017 – MEDHOST, Inc., a provider of market-leading enterprise, departmental, and healthcare engagement solutions, and Clinical Computer Systems, Inc. (CCSI), a perinatal category leader, have completed implementing seamless integration between the OBIX® Perinatal Data System and MEDHOST for a mutual customer, Cibola General Hospital. The integrated interfaces have been developed together by MEDHOST and CCSI to provide a market solution that facilitates clinical workflow in labor and delivery while providing efficiencies in patient care.
The Cibola General Hospital implementation with MEDHOST and OBIX took less than the anticipated time needed to achieve such a complex integration. This implementation entailed a full OBIX and MEDHOST upgrade in conjunction with integration testing, marking it as truly a team effort among all three organizations.
“EHR interoperability remains at the forefront of the health IT industry, so we are excited to collaborate with MEDHOST to provide our customers with an integrated perinatal system that supports their commitment to patient safety while enhancing clinical workflow,” said Kim Sell, CEO at CCSI. “Hospitals are looking for automatic, seamless communication that increases accuracy and speed—while decreasing time and spending. We’re proud to assist with the delivery of high-quality patient care by making the right data available at the right time and to the right people.”
Cibola General Hospital was established in 1959 in Grants, New Mexico. Today, it is a 25-bed critical access hospital housed in a 50,000-square foot facility offering compassionate care with leading-edge technology.
